Alexander Zverev Eyes Maiden Grand Slam Title at Roland-Garros
Zverev Reaches Semi-Finals in Paris, Chasing Elusive Major Trophy
Alexander Zverev is bidding to break his Grand Slam duck at the 2023 Roland-Garros tournament. The German world number three reached the semi-finals in Paris on Wednesday, where he will face Casper Ruud for a place in Sunday's final.
Zverev's resurgence has been one of the stories of the clay-court season. After a difficult year in which he struggled with injuries and personal issues, the 25-year-old has rediscovered his form and is now one of the favorites to win the French Open.
Zverev has not dropped a set in Paris so far, and he has looked impressive in his victories over Sebastian Baez, Brandon Nakashima, and Bernabe Zapata Miralles. He will be a tough opponent for Ruud, who is also in excellent form and is seeking his first Grand Slam title.
